A traditional evergreen spikey variety that looks great year-round. Lovely dark green, exceptionally prickly leaves. Bright red winter berries not only look great but are a welcome treat for native birds. Its dense growth habit also makes it an excellent shelter and nesting choice for many of our resident bird species. Thriving in full sun or partial shade, with free draining soil in both sheltered and exposed conditions. Ilex is very resilient and grows well in costal sites.
