Plant Care

Prune out faded flower stems to encourage a second flush in autumn. To maintain the variegated appearance, prune back to the base any stems with leaves that revert to plain green. For best growth, lift and divide the plant every two or three years in late Autumn. As a perennial, it naturally dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, only to reemerge with fresh new growth the following Spring.
