Iris 'Sable' has deep purple flowers in late spring. Nearly black buds open to reveal scented, velvety purple flowers with an orange tipped purple beard. Thriving in full sun and with flower spikes to 90cm, this fabulous bearded iris is great for adding height and structure to mid border displays. Thrives in light, well drained soils. Ensure rhizomes are exposed to sunlight for maximum flowering.
